Chances are you’ve seen the iconic model and actor Mini Anden on a magazine cover, high fashion campaign, or in your favorite TV show. From the highlights of her successful career to how she achieves her laid-back style, we caught up with Mini on all things life and fashion.
R: What’s the first thing you do every morning?
M: Letting the dogs out.. then coffee… lots of it!
R: What TV show are you binging right now?
M: Right now I’m binging Ozark and Loot. So good!
R: What are you reading right now?
M: I just finished a real page-turner—The Guest List—and am now a few chapters into The Divorce Party.
R: What do you love most about style in Sweden? LA?
M: I love Swedish fashion for its quality and clean design. When it comes to LA, I feel the climate permits a little bit more of a relaxed style, which I also appreciate.
R: What do you love about Nashville? How is it different from LA where you used to live?
M: We’re still discovering Nashville. We’ve met some really cool people and have been enjoying what the city has to offer… a mix of artists in all types of genres and mediums. What I miss about LA and our “old life” is of course our friends!…. but also the walkability we had. We were in the middle of it all, with everything at our fingertips. But the freedom and peace we have now living on our farm is pretty hard to beat. It’s our slice of heaven. I’ve always dreamed of rolling green hills and a bunch of animals.
R: Where is your favorite place in the world, and what makes it so special?
M: I have many favorite places in the world, but the Swedish west coast is always going to hold a special place in my heart, since that’s where I spent my summers growing up.
"Whatever mood I’m in, I always opt for comfort. I need an outfit where I feel free and able to move."
R: How does your mood impact your outfit choices?
M: When it comes to mood and getting dressed, I definitely think that plays a part. But whatever mood I’m in, I always opt for comfort… even when dressed up, I need an outfit where I feel free and able to move. Nothing worse than feeling limited.
R: Who is your style icon?
M: I don’t really have a style icon, but I do admire anyone who expresses themselves through their fashion.
R: What was the biggest moment of your career?
M: My favorite career moment is any time I was photographed by the lovely Peter Lindbergh. I always enjoyed working with him, and loved the way he saw and portrayed women. He was one of a kind.
"My style is pretty relaxed. Ragdoll is the perfect brand for me, since it has that casual yet chic design."
R: What do you re-wear the most and has been the most enduring piece in your wardrobe?
M: I’m definitely a “blue jean baby”. Nothing beats a good pair of denim
R: How would you describe your style?
M: My style is pretty relaxed. Ragdoll is the perfect brand for me, since it has that casual yet chic design.
R: Your go-to look? What does the perfect wardrobe look like to you?
M: A go to look for me would be a good pair of denim and a crisp white button down shirt.
R: Walk us through your Ragdoll looks.
The always great surplus pants (my latest ones are faded navy)—I wear them with the cropped distressed cotton shirt. The wide dress pant in dirty white, worn with the pink organic members club sweatshirt. The mini denim skirt with fringe worn with the moon beam organic members club sweatshirt. Oh and I LOVE my oversized denim shirt. That goes with everything :)
